CAGLI:  Cagli is an ancient city and a city of art which can be traced back to first or second century AD. The architecture, both religious and non, is a clear representation of its rich history. It is well known also for its numerous churches, fortresses and buildings. Not to miss are: Il Torrione ( The Tower ) which dates back to the renaissance period and today hosts a collection of contemporary sculptures, the Theater which is amazing with its elegance and details. The Cathedral Basilica, initially constructed in the middles ages but rebuilt in the 17th century and San Francesco with its dominant gothic influence.
Cagli also offers several important events such as Distinti Salumi. An event in festival style which celebrates all different types of salami, sausages, and aged meats.
Another traditional event in Cagli is the Palio. The recreation of the games played between the four main districts of the city in renaissance under the Duke of Urbino. This event takes place on the first and second weekend of August. The city relives the renaissance times, with the games, open taverns, tastings, music and a strong festive atmosphere.

FRONTONE: At the foot of Mount Catria, cited by Dante in the Divine Commedy, dates back to Gaul and Roman times and, today it conserves this rich history as witness of its history. The Castel of Frontone, lies majestically on a hill top overlooking the town. Today it is possible to visit the Castel along with enjoy the wonderful restaurants offering typical, genuine, local cuisine.

URBINO: One of the most important Italian cities during the Italian Renaissance. Main places of interest are Palazzo Ducale, home of the National Gallery of the Marche, the native home of famous painter Raffaello, the Cathedrral and ex monastery of Santa Chiara.

PERGOLA:  Not to miss a visit to Il Museo dei Bronzi Dorati ( the Museum of the Gilded Bronzes) ; the only group of gilded bronzes in the world dating from Ancient Roman times ( 50 a.C.) still in existence. The city is also well known for its wine culture , including Tristo di Montesecco, la Vernaccia, il Vinsanto and Visner , a unique desert wine made from cherries.

FONTE AVELLANA:  Monastery of Fonte Avellana , dedicated to Santa Croce . Its origins date back to the end of the first millenium and it is today a living monastery. Dante Alighieri makes mention of Fonte Avellana in the Divine Comedy ( canto XXI , Paradiso ) acclaiming its beauty and grandeur.

ACQUALAGNA: It is defined at national level, the Capital of Truffles. Each year in November a very important National fair is held where it is possible to purchase truffles and other delicacies . Visitors come from around the world to participate in this event. Not far from Acqualagna is la GOLA DEL FURLO, an authentic paradise crossed by the river Candigliano creeping among the imposing rocky walls of the Gola, where the suggestion of the landscape joins with a great naturalistic richness boasting of unique specimens of flora and fauna.

PESARO: Second most populated city in the Marche region with Ancona being the first. During the renaissance, Pesaro was home to many nobil family dynasties hence enriching its architecture and surroundings. FABRIANO: Home of Gentile da Fabriano (1370–1427) Italian painter known worldwide for his Gothic style. The city’s theater, in its neoclassic style which is named after the painter is considered one of the most elegant in the Marche. Fabriano is also recognized internationally as the “ City of Paper “ as the first paper produced in Europe came from Fabriano and there is still today a rich culture and tradition is paper production including handmade watermarks.
